is a collection of unique finishes that are achieved by layers of applications and wood treatments, sometimes excessive. No step in this finishing process can be eliminated. If wood treatments or glazes are applied there will be noticeable variations. The distress patterns and oversanding on individual pieces may vary. Cracks and pin holes are scattered and grouped to give a natural rustic look. These techniques are more pronounce on the softer woods. Glazes are intended to have a very inconsistent look. Build up in corners and profiles may range from heavy to nonexistent. These finishes are hand applied thus no two doors are going to be identical. For best results, door styles and moldings with distinct profiles are preferred. The more contrast between the stain and glaze colors, the more inconsistent the glaze will appear.
